building surveying - routine and planned maintenance
Several of our clients manage or own property portfolios and much of our work involves planned and routine maintenance.
Planned maintenance is invaluable in the efficient management of property to ensure that buildings are regularly inspected and maintained. This protects the client’s investment value, assists in financial planning, contributes to tenant satisfaction and also, in the long term, is more cost effective than reactive maintenance.
Small defects are identified and repaired before they develop into more significant problems that are costly to repair. We can prepare planned preventative maintenance programmes and, if required, procure maintenance contracts based on these.
We are also regularly involved in routine maintenance works. Typically this type of work includes preparing specifications for regular external redecorations and repairs and then tendering and supervising the works. Projects range from mid terrace houses to large multi-tenanted blocks of flats and office buildings.
